Hike with APWA
When: Tuesday, October 8th at 2:30 p.m.
Where (parking): Badger Mountain Trailhead Park at 525 Queensgate Drive, Richland, WA 99352
Hike: Approximately 4 miles round trip. From the parking lot, we’ll start on Badger Flats Trail (rated “easy” 0.4 miles). We’ll then continue onto Badger Mountain – Trailhead Park Loop (rated “intermediate” 3.3 mile loop) before returning to the parking lot.
What else you should know:
- The only restrooms and water available are at the start/end of the hike in Trailhead Park.
- There is no shade on the hike
- Sections of this loop are open to hikers/runners only
- Dogs are allowed on leash only
- There are some steep sections on this trail

Run for Fun with APWA
When: Wednesday, October 9th at 5:30 p.m.
Where: Meet at the front doors of the Convention Center before 5:30
Run/Walk: 3 mile loop route to stretch your legs after a full day of sessions! Loop starts and ends at the convention center and follows W. Grandridge Blvd, N. Columbia Center Blvd, W. Deschutes Ave, Center Pkwy and back to W Grandridge

Walking Field Trip: Multi-Modal Transportation System
When: Wednesday, October 9th at 5:30 p.m.
Where: Meet at the Conference Registration Desk
Walk: Join representatives from Kennewick, Richland and the Port of Kennewick on a short walk (500 yards) to visit the Port’s Vista Field Development and learn about a planned multi-modal transportation system that will connect this development to Richland’s Island View area.
