Calling all Fleet Technicians!  APWA is pleased to announce the continuation of the Fleet Tech Challenge, a grueling competition geared specifically to fleet technicians.  Fleet Techs will participate in a 3-tiered competition against other technicians from Washington State Public Works Departments. The Fleet Tech Challenge is organized as follows:

1. Online exam.  Competitors will have the ability to complete their online test between now and September 21st. Passing scores will advance to Wenatchee on October 3rd to represent their fleet department in the Fleet Tech Challenge at the APWA WA 2018 Fall Conference. Those that pass will receive a special code to use when registering for the fall conference to ensure registration with the challenge.
2.  At the fall conference in Wenatchee, competitors will compete in an additional online exam, the morning of October 3rd.   The highest scores of that test will advance to the final round, The Practical in the afternoon.
3. The Practical will give finalists the opportunity to showcase their fleet tech knowledge by troubleshooting false coded failures on a fleet vehicle. The winner will be recognized at Thursday night’s awards dinner with the traveling trophy and bragging rights as the Top Fleet Tech.

Cost:

There is no cost to enter the competition. Competitors who advance to the 2^nd round would need to register for the Fall Conference.  Those qualifying for the next step will receive an email invitation with special code to register for Fleet.
