Wednesday Night Social – Great Outdoors

When: Wednesday, October 15 at 7:00 p.m.

Where: Convention Center Ballroom

Pack your Great Outdoors outfit, as there will be prizes given to best costumes! What does the “Great Outdoors” mean to you? Sitting in a tree? Hiking? Hunting? Fishing? Crabbing? or does it evoke thoughts of John Candy trying to get a bat out of his cabin? (If you’ve seen the movie, you’ll know the scene.)

Join us for a fun night a live band, arcade games and bar games including axe throwing, darts, and Big Buck Hunting.  No need to trap your own food and drink, we’ll provide plenty! Join us for this always popular Wednesday Night Social!

Who: All conference registrants and exhibit staff are welcome and encouraged to join in the fun!

Prizes sponsored by:

Hike with the Membership Committee

Stretch your legs in the Great Outdoors with a hike in the Cowiche Canyon. All are welcome, no sign ups are necessary.

When: Tuesday, October 14th at 2:30 p.m. (rain or shine!)

Where to meet (parking): Cowiche Canyon Trail East Trailhead on Cowiche Canyon Road – There is room for several cars, but carpool if you can.

Hike: Just under 6 miles round trip. From the parking lot, we’ll head west on the Cowiche Canyon Trail by the river. It’s 2.9 mile one-way out and back on the canyon trail. We will plan to turn around after 45 minutes of walking even if we haven’t made it to the end yet. Adventurous hikers can keep going or take one of many side trails up the hills on the way back if you want a little extra exercise! (one trail leads to a winery…) Plan to return to the parking lot by 4:30pm.
