Golf with APWA
When: Tuesday, April 22
Where: Lake Spanaway Golf Course
Help us raise funds for the APWA WA Scholarship Program. You do not have to be a conference attendee to play in the tournament, all are welcome.
What else you should know:
- Reserve your spot
- Light snacks and refreshments upon arrival
- Raffle ticket for each golfer
- Banquet dinner at the end of the round
- Prizes for those who are victorious
- Prizes for those who need more practice
Hike with APWA
Where: Point Defiance Park
When: Tuesday, April 22, meet at the Rhododendron Garden on Five Mile Drive between 1:30 and 2. We’ll hit the trail at 2.
Hike:
Park along the road by the Rhododendron Garden Trailhead
From the Rhododendron Garden continue counter-clockwise on the outside loop, photoshoot at the point and we will take the spine trail back to the rhodies/cars. Roughly 3-mile loop with minimal elevation.
It can get muddy so wear the appropriate shoes.
No sign ups necessary, just show up! Contact Sara Meilandt at sara.meilandt@wsp.com if you have any questions. You don’t need to be registered for the conference to attend.
Run for Fun with APWA
When: Wednesday, April 23rd at 5:00 p.m.
Where: Meet at the front doors of the Convention Center before 5:00
Run/Walk:
The route is an out and back scenic 5k (3.1ish miles) to the Fireman’s Park. We will start together on Commerce Street, in front of the Tacoma Convention Center. All participants will receive a special MPAC FUN RUN ribbon to proudly display on their lanyards for the rest of the conference.
Interested in joining? Just show up, no need to register in advance. all running/walking abilities are welcome!
